4. Group Me
(For students only)
GroupMe is a large group messaging app. This is our "fun" medium of communication. The students are most active on our GroupMe - they send memes, share prayer requests, and communicate plans to hang out outside of youth group. The boys will ask if anybody wants to play xbox, and the girls will ask if anybody wants to go grab coffee. I'll try and remember to add new people to the GroupMe, but if I haven't gotten to it - just ask and we'll get you in there.
GroupMe's Terms and Conditions state that a student must be at least 13 to download the app. We ask that all of our students younger wait to download the app until they are of appropriate age. We will not add a student to the group me who is under 13.
I also highly recommend that parents do their research on the app before letting their students download this app. While GroupMe is a low-risk app, there is no such thing as a no-risk social media app.
